It’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for and asking about! We have selected the dates for our 2026 Bluewater Walk-On Trips. If you are a serious fisherman and bluewater / big game fishing is on your bucket list, then this is the trip for you!
So, what does a typical Bluewater Trip look like? Here is a sample itinerary. Keep in mind that our trips are subject to weather conditions, locations of highly migratory fish species, location of bluewater, etc. Even if those conditions force our captains to alter the sample itinerary, you can rest assured that they will do their best to help your group catch lots of fish.
Day 1:
- 3:00 pm departure (fall trips after Oct 1 will depart at 2:00 pm)
- Catch live bait on the way out using sabiki rigs
- Grill dinner on the Big Green Egg
- Depending on the distance to bluewater, we may fish for cobia, triggerfish, beeliner, and/or amberjack on the way out. If bluewater is further out, we may not do any fishing on evening 1 besides fishing for live bait.
Day 2:
- 3:00 or 4:00 am- start tuna fishing the morning bite. This usually includes chunking for yellowfin, using live baits, and jigging for blackfin.
- After daylight, we will be trolling, live bait fishing, and kite fishing for tuna, wahoo, dolphin, and blue and white marlin.
- Deep drop grouper fishing (sometimes on day 3 instead of day 2 depending on location / conditions)
- Evening tuna bite- jigging / chunking around oil platforms
- Deep drop swordfishing over night
Day 3:
- Grouper fishing / bottom fishing on the way in depending on location / distance to travel
- Return to the marina at mid-day (noon – 2pm usually)

A 60 day notice prior to the trip date is required for a refund.
Escape max 11 passengers.
Lady Ann max 10 passengers.
Price DOES include all licenses, bait, and tackle. fish cleaning, and deckhand gratuity.
Each passenger needs to bring food & drinks, a pillow, sleeping bag, bath towel, and toiletries.
